There is an out-zoomed view of the photo you are editing in this window. You can have an overview of your modification here while editing the photograph in a zoom-in mode. You can also scroll the photograph by moving the red rectangle in the out-zoomed photo correspondingly if the photo is too large to be displayed completely in the window.

There are three other buttons on the upper side of window. You can zoom in, zoom out the photo with them.
